Our Red Cedar mantels are quarter cut from very large old growth trees that are chosen for their irregular shaping. We pressure wash the bark off in order to maintain the natural shape and characteristics of the log. You will have a flat back to mount to your fireplace and possibly some bark in the recesses as well as attractive worm tracking on the facing surface. This is a five foot Rustic Series Red Cedar Log Mantel. This particular log has worm tracks and some inner bark left on. And the choice to leave it in it's natural state only adds to it's appeal. Support corbels tightly scribed with no filler caulk used.
